Android Word Suggestion
Android Word Suggestion
I absolutely love this keyboard, as it accommodates my larger fingers better than the stock Android keyboard, along with faster response for rapid text entry. The one feature I would love to see in a future update, would be to utilize the stock Android word suggestion. Some of the word corrections I get are completely far off for hitting one or two keys too far over, and I think the stock word suggestion understood words being off by incorrectly hit letters better (i.e, understanding geology from geklofy).

Re: Android Word Suggestion
Hi
the algorithm in Smart Keyboard is exactly the same as in the stock keyboard. However the algorithm takes into account the distance between keys on the keyboard, and in your example I guess "o" and "k" are not close enough on Smart Keyboard to be connected in the prediction algorithm (and this is different in the stock keyboard)
I can increase the radius of proximity correction, but I fear it would suggest too many words if I do that

Just a thought -- perhaps the radius you're talking about could be user-changeable? That way, people could tweak it if they want to, or just leave it at the default setting.
