When I type "home", I always get the capitalized version as the primary choice ("HOME"). Is there any way to change this or is it a bug?

It's not a bug, it's something you did on your phone ("HOME" is not in the dictionary). Maybe you enabled the contacts dictionary and HOME is in your contacts? Or in your user dictionary?
