Speech to Text results worse than stock

Using speech to text with Smart Keyboard, I tried to say a few simple sentences. Over and over again smart keyboard would either be unable to connect or get the incorrect word. I switched to the stock keyboard and it was able to get entire sentences in one try.

Is there a way to get SmartKeyboard to use the built-in Android speech to text instead of its own?

once again, Smart Keyboard doesn't use its "own" speech to text. It uses a service provided by Google in the Android API. However the API has changed and Google has now released the source code of the voice input included in the stock keyboard, so I will try to integrate it as soon as possible

Same problem here.
Smart Keyboard Pro ver. 3.10.1 with lasts dictionary: Italian and English.
Froyo 2.2 (aosp rom)
HTC Wildfire

Perfect voice recongnition of italian language with default kb. In Smart KB, pressing the mic, it loads the "speak" window but, when it tries to communicate with the google service returns a "Server Error".

any fix yet?

Well, not sure how I can fix something as I cannot reproduce any problem with Italian voice to text on Froyo...
Can you show me your phone logs when you have this error? (you can get them with "Log Collector")

Sure i can furnish you the log. I hope aLogcat output would be sufficient.
I will do this task as soon as i will be at home this evening. 1-2 hours from now.

Never Mind. All works smoothly

I have installed More Locales 2. this generated the conflict in some manner. Uninstalled that all go as intended.
