This is a good start! I'm not sure PDF is the best way to broadcast the documentation, for several reasons. Anyway in terms of contents, it gives a good idea of what the documentation should be. I'm not sure you should spend too much time on this .doc as I will create a wiki anyway, but your ideas are very welcome.

Well, because:
- the documentation often changes, so a web site is better to keep a single point of up-to-date information
- a wiki is more efficient if there are several persons to edit it (you for instance ;)) )
- a PDF would be quite poor in terms of web referencing and tracking (google analytics gives me useful information, and I don't want to lose it)

Totally agree on this. However, the .doc can be easily updated and saved as a PDF and can be uploaded.

Agree on this point too. Having multiple people updating will make it easier and will be quicker.

Can you not track the amount of downloads?

Yes but that's not enough; Google Analytics gives you the time spent on a page, the navigation path between the pages, etc. Morevover, once someone has downloaded the PDF, he will not return to the web site.

Ahh I see.

I just got another idea... The skins page needs to be redone. It links to the forum and the topics look a mess. I suggest that the page will list all of the current available skins. And use the forums for requests etc. This will keep things organised. Trying to navigate through the skins forum on my phone is kind of a pain.

Or as I had suggested a while back, have a repo of skins. Direct download from SKP and will save it into the skins folder. You should be able to delete skins too. Just like how Beautiful Widgets work.

I'm pleased to announce the birth of the new web site :)
So far it's not very different from the previous one, but it is slightly better organized and it's only the first step!

It took some time, but I started to collect some of the skins posted on the forum, and added a gallery on the skins page. Hope it will help ;)
