Typing too fast

I am a new user to this forum but not a new user to smart keyboard.
I've been using this keyboard for over a year (previously a Samsung Fascinate now a bionic) because this keyboard is the only one who has something that resembles "suretype" from blackberrys. I used a pearl and storm1 and 2.
I am a very type faster and sometimes the keyboard cannot keep up with me. I find myself using backpace a lot to delete and retype. I use the compact layout.
Is there a setting where it captures my touches as fast as I type?
