problems setting up smart keyboard

I'm having a problem setting up my smart keyboard. My HTC Sensation keyboard does not have a "123" key and pressing the #'s 123 does not work. Will someone please help me find a solution? Thank you.

Please follow the
user's guide. Long press on 123 key can work only when Smart Keyboard Pro is already your active keyboard.
