Smart Keyboard Forum

Hello!

I bought this app from slideme.org but only now that i came again on app's page on slideme i saw that the word "forum" in "Visit the forum for suggestions or bug reports" is a link to this forum. You see, when i visited app's page via slideme application manager(SAM) that "Visit the forum for suggestions or bug reports" is all the same and you just cant know that the word forum is a link.

Why am i saying this? Well so you can add a bit more info there, like whats the minimum android version in order for this app to work. If i saw corecrtly here on forums, it is android 2, but my phone is htc tatto which still has 1.6 i think.

So just go fix that so people could know if this is going to work for them or no, still its not a free app so its better to have all the info you can have about some app before buying it.

As for me, well i will wait for htc to upgrade android for tatto. Only then i guess i could use this great keyboard!

Untill then i im stuck with this stupid keyboard...

you're right there is not much information on SlideMe, I will try to add more
However I backported the app to Android 1.6 and even 1.5 now, so you can use it on your HTC Tattoo, no need to wait

Hmmm i reinstalled application, went to settings -> locale & text and then clicked on "Smart keyboard", then clicked ok. But where ever i go i still just get plain old keyboard.

Any idea what to do?

Yes, you can read the FAQ

Go to "Language and keyboard" settings, and check the "Smart Keyboard" (or "Smart Keyboard Pro") box. Then chose "Smart Keyboard (Pro)" in the "Input method" dialog, which is accessible in the menu which appears after a long press in any text input box.

I tried that but i get this error:

The application Smart Keyboard (process net.cdeguet.smartkeyboard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I restarted my phone, tried again but again i get this error.

I saw there is a setting "Enable debug logs", which i enabled, but i cant find those logs on my sd card.

Any idea what to do now?

Btw when i go in "about..." its telling me that i have smart keyboard pro 1.12.1 version. Dunno if that is the latest one? I ask that because there is no "FAQ" in "Smart keyboard settings", and also this FAQ here on this forum dont have any info about this app, only usuall phpbb faq.

the latest version is 1.15.1, I added it today on SlideMe so you should download it first
To send me the logs (including the debug logs if you enabled the option) you should install and use the "Log Collector" app
But "net.cdeguet.smartkeyboard" is the free version; the paid version you found on SlideMe is net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro.
I think you are confused between "Smart Keyboard" (free version) and "Smart Keyboard Pro" (paid version). You should enable only "Smart Keyboard Pro" in the settings, not "Smart Keyboard"

Yeah, the thing is this morning i uninstalled app, then installed free version via market, then uninstalled that one because it didnt work, then installed again via slideme.org. Dunno what happened that made me have outdated free version...

Anyhow, i uninstalled it, installed pro version(1.15.1) from slideme.org and it works as it should... Im off to post some suggestions now...
