way better than swype
way better than swype
I just wanted to point out that I just got a new verizon droid x2, and was a huge swype fan. Well I give up. smart keyboard pro is soooooo much better. I can type crazy fast, and don't have to correct everything all the time like when I used swype. Thank you Smart Keyboard Pro!!!

Re: way better than swype
I tried swype several different times. I think it's a great keyboard with some very nice technology but I just couldn't train my brain to type like that. It's just not how I look at the keys....I ended up all over the place which surprisingly it did a fair job of guessing my intent. However, for me it was too much of a distraction to try and get it right. I guess I just need to actually tap the keys.....
Just to expand on this, I also used shiftkey for quite awhile. I did like it but after evaluating my typing style I don't like to stop and look at the suggestion. I think their predictive engine is highly incredible and it can save you some typing. However, I found out I didn't like to 'select' that middle word after a few letters. Again, just a distraction. I'd rather just tap on all the letters and have all the predictions figure out what I'm trying to do. That way I'm not distracted and just type like I would on a regular keyboard. That's why I grabbed the auto-text from MS word and it's done well. If SKB could drive on the ShiftKey predictive engine, that would be sweet.
