force rotation in fullscreen

Hi.
just wanted to know if it would be possible to force the keyboard to landscape even if the app only works on portrait mode.
I have a x10 mini and the default sms app do not rotate to landscape mode.
I know that handcent and chomp would fix this but i like the deafult app, also know that in current version this cant be done, Im just thinking if the dev would be able to implement such option or it is impossible

edit: forgot to mention that the portrait fullscreen would be checked so only the keyboard changed to landscape and the app in the background would still be on portrait if u know what i mean

someone else asked this recently, but unfortunately the answer is no, as it's the app which controls whether the phone is switched to landscape mode, it's not the keyboard.
