Now that Market is released to more countries, I'm interested to know if it's possible to switch the payment from SlideMe to Android Market? Smart Keyboard is the only program I've bought from SlideMe and their client's size is 2 megabytes (which I wouldn't need otherwise) and every free megabyte is needed in HTC Desire...
I doubt it's possible but doesn't hurt to ask, does it ?
Of course you are not the only one to ask this
Unfortunately SlideMe and Android Market are completely different systems so there is no way to switch... unless you pay again
I'm from Israel, who, as of today, have access to paid apps in the Market (even shows local currency, nice).
Couldn't a solution be made? Some kind of way to refund people who already bought the app on SlideME?
This application is really a must for me since i know of no better Hebrew-supporting keyboard, But I really want to get rid of SlideME if i can just keep using the Market, especially since that informs me of updates and such, and allows quicker installation when switching ROMs and such.
What about SlideME? Since we are both talking about moving FROM slideme to the Market, how about refunding the buyer on SlideME if thats possible?
With proper proof of purchase, of course.
Maybe, but I cannot do this. Android Market sales are handled by Google Checkout payment system, on which I have a lot of control.
SlideME is different, I sell licenses to them, and they resell the app, so I cannot decide (and have no technical way) to refund anything
Well, I went ahead and bought an extra copy on the Market since we're talking about a relatively small sum of money.
However, It should be important to find a solution for this situation, perhaps together with the teams at Google/SlideME.
