keyboard buggy

Post by jab123 »

hi
since the last two updates, the keyboard has become really sluggish. it takes a good 3 seconds for the text to send and a cleared text window be pop up again. also the keyboard has become generally sluggish meaning it doesnt pop up when youre say trying to type in a search box, etc.

thanks for the updates. i'm getting blazing speed now from skp tho i wish multitouch presses would generate the correct letter each time but nevertheless i love it!

Hi
I changed nothing which could explain that... maybe you could send me the logs (thanks to Log Collector app) when it happens, so that I can investigate

No. The latest version is just as fast as the previous keyboards.

I noticed the keyboard acts really weird when I'm typing and the phone is connected to my laptop, not mounted, just to have it charging. For example, if I push s, it'll put k. Or if I long press for the question mark then random letters type instead of the question mark. When I'm on the hard keyboard and I select a suggestion, it won't type it in. I'll email you the log.

Hi
what you describe is so weird that I don't even have a beginning of explanation... however from your logs I can see that you don't use the latest version. Do you still have this problem with the latest one ?

Do you mean the latest version of the keyboard? I just went to the market and saw that there's no update past 1.12.1. That's what I have right now and what was using when I sent you the log.

Ah ok... actually I saw a debug log which was supposed to be removed in 1.12.1, but it seemed there was a problem when building the app, and it didn't take into account all the changes... However I don't think it would explain your problem, which I don't understand at all at the moment
