korean auto correct bug

Post by dharma89 »

hello! I am using your SMART KEYBOARD PRO very well and proud to tell other Android user to use it! :D
and especially I love your Korean support, as my native language is Korean... however, I have struggled with one issue with auto correct in Korean

so when i type in Korean, although i typed it correctly and that word is in the dictionary( at least I added them in my user dictionary for sure) but it suggest me other word.

for example -
i tried to type 볼수 - ㅂㅗㄹㅅㅜ - but the app highlights 볼수록 - ㅂㅗㄹㅅㅜㄹㅗㄱ instead
so it tends to suggest me another words - that has longer letters...
however, funny thing is this - if i type till 볼ㅅ - ㅂㅗㄹㅅ - then the app highlights 볼수 - so it means the app has the word in the dictionary. but when i finish my word 볼수 - then it suggest 볼수록.
so actually it is not really doing it too wrong. but the app shouldn't put 볼수록 prior than 볼수....

however, it does not happens always.... - for example, when i type 언제 - ㅇㅓㄴㅈㅔ, then it highlights this word, and have no problem with this. and then the app lists other possibilities such as 언제나, 언제든지 perfectly...

and interestingly, this bug occurs to short words often - especially words within 4-5 character - as 볼수 is also made in 5 letters. but on the other hand, 언제 - does not have problem with though it has also 5 letters. but i remember it also happened rarely on words having many letters... but i don't remember the example yet.

is this known issue? because like two versions earlier this is was very frustrating because it happened so many times, it even made me to consider to turn off the auto correct function. but in this most recent version, this bugs has been improved, but there are occasions with this bug...

hope this posting was easy to understand. I am very thankful for your support in Korean input! :)

There was a bug in the previous version of the Korean dictionary, causing this problem, but now it's supposed to be fixed. I will check your example to see why it happens
