I am using Smart Keyboard with the language switch option. In settings I chose the German keyboard with umlauts included. Unfortunately whenever I switch languages the keyboard forgets my settings and goes back to the German version without umlauts. Not sure if this is design or a bug. Cheers...

there is no bug make sure you changed the "language key" option and not (only) "current language"

Right. I did not see the second option for German keyboards in language key settings. Thanks for the quick answer. Cheers from Berlin
