Hardware keyboard layout forced to QWERTY

Hello,
I installed Smart Keyboard in the hope that I could connect my Bluetooth physical keyboard and force the QWERTZ layout.
Unfortunately, even after all options in parameters are set to French/QWERTZ, the key presses are still translated as on a QWERTY keyboard.
Is there any hope for me to get QWERTZ layout with the physical keyboard?
