Having Issue with Custom Text

I've always had issues with custom text not working right. My wife's name is Connie, I have it set up so that when I type lower case 'connie' it defaults to proper case for names - Connie. Even with the auto text and quick fix turned OFF, it will insert 'Donnie' or 'Connie's' by default. It seems to be random to which one it picks. Of course if delete her name in the autotext the keyboard will NOT insert anything (It'll type whatever I have typed). Please fix!

I cannot reproduce this problem. "Connie" is part of the built in english dictionary, while "connie" is not, so you should not even need an autotext. I think you added "connie" to your user dictionary (in older versions the smart dictionary option could have done that automatically), this is the only explanation I see. Check and delete it, and it should work

I deleted "connie" from the autotext. when I type "connie" it will insert it normally, BUT it won't automatically capitalize her name (unless at the beginning of a sentence), that's why I had the custom auto-text set up, so whenever I typed here name, it would always be capitalized.
I have "quick fixes" turned off, show suggestions turned on, auto-complete turned off, swap punctuation turned on, space after picking turned on, contacts dictionary turned off, no words in the user dictionary, smart dictionary is UNCHECKED,suggest on hard keys UNCHECKED, always suggest turned on, suggest punctuation turned on, period on double space checked, compound suggestions UNCHECKED
Thanks for the help

if I add "connie" back in the custom text so that when I type "connie" it will revert to Connie (with a capital C)... Everything is fine, BUT when I type Connie (with a capital "C", like at the beginning of a sentence) the custom text will insert "Donnie"... It seems to be an issue with wether Connie already has the capitalized "c", then it will change the name to Donnie. Lowercase there's no problem
