I just by this application today and start testing it.
I have a huge problem with the Portrait T9 keyboard.
If I have the T9 disable, I´m not able to use the second or the third character on a key. The preview box show me the second character I choose, it appair briefly on the test box, but it is immediatly sobstitube by the first one. For example, if I choose "b", I got "a".
This problem seem to affect only the first word on the line.
Check without dictionary, with Italian dictionary, with and without prediction, and so on.
It´s very strange, but I see a similiar bug in the bugtraker, on X10 device. My device has Android 2.1 installed.
The problem is that the application is completely unusable for me. I had to go back to samsung keyboard.
Let me know if I can help you with more information.
Regards.
Luca

Hello
so if you have seen the same problem in the bug tracker, you should have seen the solution
(playing with the "always suggest" option) Doesn't it work for you?

Re: Problem with portrait T9 keyboard on Samsung i5500
ok, more info about it.
The problem happen in those type of edit box:
- The search box in the market
- The address box in the SMS
- The address bar of the browser
- The A: bar of the e-mail
but
- don't happen at all in the text box on the web page of google, for example
- don't happen at all in the box for the text of the SMS
- don't happen in the text box of the e-mail
It's very strange. In some cases, slowing down the key repetition, it seems it works better. But if I try again I'm not able to input the "b".
It seems that the phone (or the application) as soon as I press the first time, start searching for suggestion (for example the old search words searched into the market), but is to slow, ad complete the search for the "a" after I choose the "b", and substitute my "b" with the previous "a".
I know, the description could be very difficult to understant (I'm quite non able to explain in Italian, so please forgive me for the english translation), but I hope could help.
If you need some test, let me know. I'm a programmer too (not androd, but automation), so testing is a daily job.

Luca
