Text Remains After Text Message is Sent

I have just started using Smart Keyboard. A problem I have is that when I send a text message to someone and go back to send another text to the same person some of the previous text remains in the entry line for the new text. I have to delete the old text before I can type new text. I am using a Droid X on Verizon.

Same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S and Moment.

I have the exact same problem with razr maxx and ics 4.0.4.
I am using the trial version currently; I guess it won’t go away if I buy the app?
Anybody have a fix for this as it’s really annoying?
