Voice input is not working

Hi. Purchased Smart Keyboard Pro and it downloaded just fine, except the mic is not working. The icon is on the keyboard and when I press it, the screen comes up with the mic and a red line across it. Please advise as the mic (voice to text) feature is why the Keyboard Pro was purchased. Thank you.

Voice Input is an external component provided by Google, not by Smart Keyboard. Does it work in other apps? (the Google search widget for instance)
