Problem with Chinese keyboard

Hi,

I have noticed that the Chinese keyboard does not display character selection in many text and search fields. In particular, it does not work with Pleco dictionary and a few other dictionaries (Pleco is the #1 dictionary for Chinese learners on the iPhone, and they now have a beta for Android). I have tired same dictionaries with other Chinese IMEs like Google Pinyin, Sogou Input, etc and they didn't have this problem. Is there any way you can work a fix for this?
