I just also noticed myself issues to purchase (other) apps yesterday, as everybody else.
BUT I read your post too fast... you said you managed to download it actually ? Then it has nothing to do with the problem I talked about ...
Did you read the FAQ first, to change the keyboard ?
How do I enable the keyboard? Go to "Language and keyboard" settings, and check the "Smart Keyboard" (or "Smart Keyboard Pro") box. Then chose "Smart Keyboard (Pro)" in the "Input method" dialog, which appears after a long press in any text input box.
