I tried looking to see if this had already been posted, but I didn't see anything.

My request is to have an option to automatically capitalize the letter "i" when it is written alone. I like that the keyboard capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and when it knows a name, but I find myself typing emails on my phone and realizing that all of my i's are lower-case.

you didn't see any request, because it already works like this
You probably disabled options such as "quick fixes", because "i" is always replaced by "I" when you set the language to english

I have quick fixes enabled and am using the compact keyboard with T9 enabled.
When I press GHI and it comes up with G, I press space and G stays there.
I set a custom Autotext for g to I and now it's doing what it should be doing.
