Comma key in portait QWERTY

Why is there a comma key to the left side of Space in QWERTY? At least in the Swedish layout it is, and then there's also a comma for holding ".". Could you remove it or allow me to remove it via settings? At least for portait-mode. In portait I keep hitting it by accident when trying to hit space since it's so cramped up, very annoying since I almost only use portait-mode. No problem in landscape though
