Several Layout, Behaviour and Feature Requests

I spent the last few days testing a number of third party keyboards and modifications. While many had some unique and interesting features, only Smart Keyboard and Ultra Keyboard seemed to have practical features that actually enhance usage.
I'm now left having to choose between the two, but I really think both could benefit from copying some of the features from each other and some others.
  • Switch language by swiping the space bar left and right, with display of such showing on the space bar popup. (Like the default keyboard and many others. More reliable, visually effective, and less prone to mistyped keys than swiping the whole keyboard.)
  • Switch layout by swiping the space bar up and down, with display of such showing on the space bar popup. (Like Ultra Keyboard. More reliable, visually effective, and less prone to mistyped keys than swiping the whole keyboard.)
  • Voice key and settings key in popup of the 123 key when not set to be located elsewhere ie., when they're disabled from having their own keys, so that they're always accessible in a hidden place.
  • Built in translator. (Like Ultra Keyboard. Could be yet another popup option on the 123 key. There are various translators out there, but having it integrated into a quality keyboard like this is what makes the difference.)
  • Customisation of suggestion interaction eg. tap to use the currently typed word once, double tap to save the currently typed word, long press to delete a suggestion from the user dictionary, etc.
  • Option to change behaviour when the text cursor is at the end of a word eg. edit word (suggestions for current word), add word (suggestions punctuation until you start typing, then suggestions for new word). (Currently set to edit word, but this isn't needed at all, especially if you have (double tap) touch to correct words enabled, and is a hindrance to quickly adding punctuation or a compound word.)
  • Allow double tap on comma/period instead of space to perform a period/comma and have this carry over to the numbers and symbols keyboard.
  • Allow locking of specified keys while typing, with a slider for the lock time-out. (Prevents accidentally hitting unintended keys when fast typing, or if a brief secondary finger on screen throws off the touch point.)
  • Further customisation of when actions/keys provide haptic feedback rather than the space only.
  • To be consistent, add the alt. label (or just ...) to enter key for smilies and make them use sliding selection when enabled for the rest of the keyboard.
  • Option to add fully customised (ie. add, edit and delete, not just edit) domain keys (including http:// etc.) as a new popup selection for the enter key. (when enabled along with smilies on the enter key, open whichever one is selected by sliding, as a fixed popup, because multi-level slide selection isn't really usable on small screens.)
That's all I can think of for now.

That's a very good request zeal I would also add this:

The learn new words feature should also learn the most used words so they can be aligned by usage, so every time you touch a word it gets a flag as used, and then it will be first on suggestions. I really think the languague switch on the keyboard a must have. Maybe a word would only get in the dictionary if touched 1 or more time, so we wouldn't be getting words that where added by mistake.

Also, the suggestions bar could be something like Swift keyboard, 3 suggestions, the main one in the middle.
