Disable virtual keyboard in landscape

Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy Pro. It has a landscape oriented screen and a hardware keyboard. When i press the box to enter text the virtual keyboard pops up. It would be nice if there was an option to make it not appear just like you did for the Motorola Pro in portrait. Thanks.
