Voice search in contacts should be smarter

On my Galaxy S II, when I voice-search for my contacts from the default Samsung keyboard, it smartly considers only words (names) that appear in my contacts while with Smart Keyboard, I only get a list of generic words that often have nothing to do with my contacts. Unfortunately, this makes voice search from Smart Keyboard almost useless.
It would be nice if this could get fixed.

BTW, I'd be interested in a technical explanation why Smart Keyboard does something so different from the default Samsung Keyboard. I'd almost say that Smart Keyboard's behavior is "expected" but maybe Samsung embedded some smartness so it is aware of contacts when used there?

Who knows? Samsung apps are not open source so I cannot tell you what they did. However I can see how that's possible; depending on the context you can provide voice input component with a list of possible choices, so it's probably what they did (not sure how it can work efficiently if you have hundreds of contacts; however).

Would you consider adding this to Smart Keyboard? It is a very useful feature of Samsung keyboard (or maybe I should say "voice search button").
