Chinese Input Problem

Post by sinsnowman »

I live in Hong Kong and I use Traditional Chinese input very often, I gave a try to the Pro version of your keyboard and I do find it very simple and easy to use, there's just one thing I want to point out. I do realize in the latest edition of Chinese dictionary there are both traditional and simplified Chinese words, but can the development team seperate the input between traditional and simplified? Or perhaps add something that allows us to choose between traditional or simplified? Since my typing speed is getting slowed down by having to choose the traditional word in all those simplified words which aren't needed at all. Thanks for helping

I second this suggestion! I have used another android keyboard which has a really neat feature for their Chinese Input - they have a shift key which switches between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese (as shown in the screencaps below). This way, the shift key will be put to better use, as switching between upper and lower case is not necessary when you are typing in Pinyin! Smart Keyboard is the best keyboard that I have ever used, as it has all the features that a keyboard needs (I have tried almost 10 different keyboards!). The only thing missing for me now is easy switching between Traditional and Simplified Chinese. I'd love it if this feature can be added to Smart Keyboard - it will make my keyboard complete!! ^^
