Suggestion Bar Always On (never hide)
Suggestion Bar Always On (never hide)
Dear developer. Would you give us an option to have the suggestion bar always visible? The access to the "custom punctuation" would be a lot easier and quick.

Hello
Can you tell me in which situation you would need the suggestion bar and it's hidden?

Sure. You removed the apostrophe from the T9 alphanumeric keyboard and so I put it to the custom punctuation along with brackets and other symbols I use. But often the suggestion bar is hidden. Try it yourself please - straightaway after launching the keyboard, type this, with the brackets: (Josef's phone) . If the suggestion bar was on, you could easily pick any symbol from it before you start typing a word.cyril wrote:Hello

I didn't remove the apostrophe from T9, I re-added it as so many people complained! (otherwise, which language are you using?)

The apostrophe is not there Cyril... Look:cyril wrote:I didn't remove the apostrophe from T9, I re-added it as so many people complained! (otherwise, which language are you using?)

It used to be there instead of the @ symbol. But it's ok! I don't mind, since we can customize the symbols on the suggestion bar ("custom punctuation" feature). I just wish the bar was always on, just like on the picture above...
I use English all the time.

Now you obviously did not return the apostrophe to the T9 keyboard, so would it be possible for you to add the option to make the suggestion bar always on? I'm not trying to put pressure on you though..cyril wrote:I didn't remove the apostrophe from T9, I re-added it as so many people complained! (otherwise, which language are you using?)

Have you set the "Force latin layout" option to something else than English ? Because there IS an apostrophe key in English, but it's true it's still removed for other languages which don't need an apostrophe....

ok when I change the language to English (in Settings/Language/Current language), the apostrophe appears in the alpha-numeric keyboard, indeed.cyril wrote:Have you set the "Force latin layout" option to something else than English ? I use the English most of the time, but sometimes the Czech language as well, which has some special characters, and I cannot see/use them, they are gone now. So in order to be able to use those special characters (with or without the Czech T9), I need to have the language changed to Czech in settings. So the apostrophe cannot be visible for me.
And what is the answer to my question about the suggestion bar? Is it possible? If not, it's not the end of the world

It's possible, but I'll do it if several people ask for it

Re: Suggestion Bar Always On (never hide)
This feature could be of good use, if you could make the suggestion bar scroll left to right to see available punctuation without that arrow tab that indicates more options (I've found that oftentimes the punctuation I'm looking for is covered by the arrow and actually slows me down at that point). The way I see it, we already know there are more options, we put them there. No biggie if you diagree, I'm a little OCD. Thanks again for the awesome keyboard and all the updates. This was the first app I purchased back when I got my phone, and I continue to suggest it to others.
