This is a terrific keyboard, and I use it in preference to many others I have tried. However, because I can type really quickly, I have the following suggestions:
1. At the beginning of words, the combination: [spacebar] - [t] (with the left thumb) - [h] (with the right thumb) almost always drops the [t]. As a result, I have to have numerous autotext entries such as the following:
hat -> that
he -> the
hem -> them
hen -> then
hey -> they
hink -> think
hose -> those
This is not too bad, but as you can see, all of the words on the left (except for "hink") are real words -- most of them do not begin sentences, though (other than "he"). The logic there might be able to be improved somehow.
2. I suggest an option to disable the 123 key in the main qwerty layout. Fairly frequently (once a paragraph or so), in trying to hit the comma key (when typing quickly), I will hit the 123 key, which is not so good. Since the 123 layout can simply be accessed by swipe gestures, having an option to disable that key will improve accuracy.
3. This may be more difficult, but a separate calibration for the right hand keys and the left hand keys (perhaps as an advanced feature) will be very helpful for two-hand typists. For example, sometimes I mistype "it" when I am trying to type "or"; The "i" is to the left of the "o", and the "t" is to the right of the "r"; thus a calibration that applies to the whole keyboard would not work, since my right hand needs to be calibrated to the right, and my left hand needs to be calibrated to the left.
4. Two spaces after a right parenthesis generally should be changed into a period. In addition, the right parenthesis usually should eliminate any spaces to the left. Otherwise, the following will always occur: "(this is an example of a sentence with a parenthesis ) The next sentence begins here." With the two rules I propose, the typing would end up properly as: "(this is an example of a sentence with a parenthesis). The next sentence begins here."
Thanks for your consideration.
