Colrored Cursor Option

It would be helpful to have a colored cursor bar. I have difficulty locating the cursor position when corrected typos. If there was an option to make the vertical bar red or green it would be much easier to locate.

the cursor is controlled by the widget displaying the text, not by the keyboard, so it doesn't seem possible to me (at least, it would not be a keyboard option)
