Caps/numbers key work on down press?

One of the best things about the iPhone keyboard, is how its caps key and numbers/alt key function on the down press while the letters and numbers function when you finger is lifted...I'm pretty sure most know what this means, but if you don't, when you press caps for instance, as soon as you put your finger down on the cap key, the keys capitalize, then while still holding your finger down you slide you finger over to any letter you want and when you lift your finger the specific key gets printed capitalized...this is good for a couple reasons, one it saves alot of time, what would normally take 2 presses (one to press caps, then another on the key you wanted) only requires one press since it can all be done in one motion..and 2nd rather then requiring 2 fingers most keys(on the left hand side of the keyboard anyway) can be done with one thumb/finger

I'm sorry if this has been requested before and shot down, but I got this keyboard hoping that was included and was disappointed to see it wasn't


edit: maybe a better example would be with the numbers key, this is a true case of 3 presses since the number keys dont show up until you lift your finger from the "123" button so multitouch (like its current form with capatlization) isnt really possible there...but when you pressed your finger down on the 123 key, the numbers would appear, then with out lifting your finger slide it to the number 8, then lift your finger, the eight would be printed and the number keys would turn back into the qwerty keyboard automatically...so what would have taken 3 presses (1. the 123 key, 2. the number 8, and 3. the 123 key again) only actually took one key press
